Kristjana S Williams has created the artwork and a series of animations for Coldplay's latest audio release ‘A Head Full of Dreams: Live in Buenos Aires’.
Her artwork also adorns ‘The Butterfly Package’ a special edition release containing the live audio release, a two-hour concert film, ‘Live in Sao Paulo’ and a career-spanning documentary film by acclaimed director Mat Whitecross, charting the rise and rise of Chris Martin and co from rehersals in cramped student bedrooms, through gigs in Camden pubs, to sold out stadium shows around the world.
Kristjana's artwork for the release weaves together a host of emblematic visuals from Coldplay's 20 year history including the digitally rendered face from the cover of 2002’s A Rush of Blood to the Head, a street sign from Camden Road (where the band first rehearsed) and an image of frontman Chris Martin with a vodka and cranberry in hand (the drink he turns to when not happy with something he's working on).
“In the centre of the butterfly is the piano the band always take on tour and the butterfly itself represents Asia, Europe and the Americas,’ says Kristjana. ‘The monkeys which are a recurrent theme in my work and feature in Coldplay’s ‘Adventures of a Lifetime’ video too, here represent the band with Jonny and Will on the right and Chris and Guy on the left.’
The Butterfly Package will be released on CD, DVD, vinyl and digital on 7th December.

Karan Singh worked with Nike Portland to animate and direct a piece to be used in their 'Impossible to Ignore' campaign in time for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Korea.
Karan’s approach was to echo the slogan of 'Impossible to Ignore' by creating a fast paced and detailed piece which navigated through the streets of Seoul featuring key landmarks and a range of sports. The animation also features the new Nike React running shoe as well as the recently released Nike Vapormax.
The visuals including the animation and a teaser video were used across Korea on Nike locations as well as for the launch at the Zaha Hadid designed Dongdaemon Plaza. Click the play button in the centre of the image below to watch the animation, and scroll down for more images from the project.

Hvass&Hannibal's new book, Wild World, has been published by Wide Eyed Editions. McAllister's poetic texts bring the habitats to life, while factual information at the back details the dangers these incredible places are facing.
Karan worked with The Adventures Of creative agency to art direct and create 64 unique, eye-catching visuals for Onitsuka Tiger's re-release of the Mexico 66SD trainer, originally worn by the entire Olympic delegation in 1966. Inspired by the theme of a contemporary Opening Ceremony, Karan created narratives and visuals for four distinct visual worlds represented in the ceremony and encompassing the four colourways of the Mexico 66SD trainer.
Karan's concepts and visuals for the campaign were based around four key elements of the traditional Japanese ‘Godai’; Chi (earth), Sui (water), Ka (fire) and Fu (wind) which established the background for each abstract world, transcending geographical borders, and reflecting the harmony of the games.
Karan's visual approach saw elements from each world distilled into simplified or symbolic representations with the intent of being bold, playful and contemporary. This final tool kit comprised of a series of flags and range of individual illustrated elements and patterns.
The campaign pairs Karan's graphic themes and artwork with dynamic vibrant sets and animation to bring the Mexico66SD range to life with a bang. Created with Berlin based creative agency The Adventures Of, the campaign was produced by HALAL and includes a 40-second film and short product videos for social and digital by Juriaan Booij, followed by print, key retail visuals and lifestyle imagery by photographer Olya Oleinic.
