Karan Singh for the Golden Globes

Karan Singh was commissioned by the uber glamorous Golden Globes to illustrate their iconic trophy for this year's ceremony graphics.

In Karan's own words: “I had the huge honor of drawing the trophy for this year’s Golden Globes. The awards have been around since 1944, celebrating excellence in film and television, so it was pretty special to be involved.

For this evolution of the trophy, I simplified the silhouette and elements, taking a more tonal approach than my usual colorful work. The process and technique were the same though—just a bit more delicate this time.

We explored a bunch of directions, some of which you can see here, along with the final artwork. I'm very grateful to have played a small part in this award’s history.

Special mention to compatriot @luke_lucas who designed the type.”
